7.2.10- For the second week in a row, the two win rule had an effect on the race for the Casagrande Team. This time it not only involved Kyle, but Cory too. The race started a little rough for the teammates as about halfway in the 23 car sent Cory sideways in turn 1 and Kyle, who was following right behind him, made solid contact with Cory's left front. The damage on the cars were minimal. After the caution they worked together through the field until they reached the 4th and 5th position. Kyle then made a move past Jeff Jolly and then Nick Salva to take over the second position, where he would be forced to stay because of the rule. A caution soon came out which allowed Cory to make his way past two cars and onto the podium. They finished the race second and third but the rule probably took away there combined 7th win of the season.
6.25.10- Another Friday night brought another successful night for Casagrande Motorsports. The cars were fast the whole night starting with a second and third place finish in the heat race. The feature started with Kyle 9th and Cory 10th but on the initial restart the outside line went allowing Cory to quickly move to the front. Cory made his up to third position but was battling a loose car the whole night. Kyle eventually worked his way through the field and made his way by Cory for third place with about 5 laps to go and then the caution came out. On the restart Kyle worked his way into second and after making contact with the wall, Cory was never able to get his car on the right track and managed a top ten finish. Kyle was content to follow the 6 car of Andrew Hayes to the finish second because he is not allowed to get any more wins. Unfortunately a caution came out with 3 laps left leaving Kyle to restart on the outside. He was able to make the pass for the lead and on the last lap moved to the bottom to allow Hayes to get around him on the outside, making sure he wouldn't lose any more positions. He came away with a 2nd place finish but only get 2 points on Tony Membrino he finished right behind him in 3rd.
6.18.10- At the beginning of the season we had hoped that all three cars would reach the maximum of 2 wins but I don't think anyone would have expected them to come this quickly. Don Wood picked up his second victory of the season in only the ninth race. Only a week after Cory picked up his second win and three weeks after Kyle picked up his second win, Don Wood made sure that the first three cars to reach multiple wins were from the Casagrande Motorsports team. Wood started the race 7th, Cory 9th, and Kyle 11th. Wood and Cory quickly moved to the front of the field while Kyle was battling with the car the whole night and got stuck in the back. There was a restart on lap 8 where Wood and Cory were in the front row and Kyle restarted 11th. Tony got by Cory on the restart but Cory quickly made a move to get his spot back and followed Wood to an easy second place finish. Kyle put it three wide on the restart and quickly picked off one car at a time and with two to go he found himself in sixth place. He followed Andrew Hayes past Jeff Jolly and Tony Membrino on the last lap to get into 4th and with one more lap probably could have found himself on the podium. After this run Cory found himself less than 20 points out of the top 5 and and Kyle 18 points back of first.
6.11.10- One of the goals for the team at the beginning of the year was to get all three cars on the podium on the same night. This Friday proved to be that night for Casagrande Motorsports. Cory grabbed his second win making the brothers the first two drivers to reach the two win maximum in the division. Kyle finished second followed by Don Wood in the 64. Cory took the lead on lap 6 when the leaders got together and held on for a dominating performance for the rest of the race. Kyle and Wood worked their way through the field well together picking off one car at a time going from the back to the top 5. Kyle got around Wood and worked past the next two cars to get into second. A late caution allowed the group to get back together and all three cars started on the inside row and pushed their way to the front where they would finish the race. This put Kyle 20 points out of the point lead and Cory only 22 out of the top 5.
5.28.10- This Friday brought the Modified Tour back to Stafford Speedway which meant no heats for anyof the weekly divisions. Once again, all three Casagrande cars were starting outside of the top 10. The beginning of the race got jumbled very quickly due to a car up front not staying up to speed which caused Kyle so spin sending him to the back on the second lap. Cory worked his way to the top 6 and hung with the lead pack. Kyle quickly worked his way back through the field and found himself in 4th place with two laps to go. After the 1st and 2nd place cars spun out on turn 2 he made a dive to the bottom of the track to make a pass for the lead to become the first driver to reach 2 wins on the season making it 3 victories in a row for Casagrande Motorsports. Cory finished with a solid 5th place finish.
5.21.10- At the beginning of the season, Don Wood was focused on getting his son started in the Dare Stock Division, but after 5 weeks and 2 second place finishes, he found himself in victory lane for the first time with Casagrande Motorsports. After getting to the lead early in the race he finished with a dominating victory. As for Kyle and Cory, they had to work their way from the back of the field. Cory got as high as third place but had trouble holding his spot as he got loose in turn two and got caught in the outside. Also, Kyle and Cory mad contact putting damage on both of their cars for the remainder of the race. Kyle managed to pull out another top 5 finish while Cory ended up 11th.
5.14.10- Just two weeks after Kyle picked up his first victory of the 2010 season, his brother Cory did the same, picking up his 1st career victory in only his 4th ever start. Easily the roughest race of the season, Cory was able to keep minimal damage done to his career to cross the finish line first. Kyle started in the back of the field and worked his way up to 4th when a big wreck involving Josh Wood gathered Kyle with only 4 laps left in the race. Cory restarted third with Kyle last, and soon after the restart the leader and second place got together and that allowed Cory to enter first and held it for the rest of the race. Kyle worked his way quickly through the field to make it a Casagrande brothers 1, 2 finish. Neither of the cars looked pretty as they entered victory lane, but the results were effective.
4.30.10- Casagrande Motorsports picked up their first victory of the season on Friday Night's 'Extra Distance' Event. The Dare Stocks Ran 20 laps, five more than normal, and Cory and Kyle were the two fastest cars on the track the whole night. Kyle rolled off sixth in the Feature, while Cory started 11th. Kyle worked his way to third after the first lap, and Cory was quickly moving his way through the field as well. After a caution on lap 10, Kyle Started second and Cory started 4th. Kyle dropped behind the leader, Andrew Hayes, while Cory made an impressive pass on the outside to put himself into third place. As Kyle was passing for the lead, another caution came out. This time on the restart Kyle got a jump and took the lead and never looked back, leading for half a straightaway the rest of the race. The only car on the track that seemed to be fast enough to challenge may have been Cory, but after trying to make a pass for third place, he got loose and spun with only 3 laps left. Although it was a disappointing 14th place finish, he showed much improvement in only his second race and will be contending for wins with his brother in no time.

4.24.10- Spring Sizzler weekend was an exciting one for Casagrande Motorsports. On the first practice on Friday, Cory got into a car that spun in turn 1 and did some damage to his car. This gave the crew some work earlier then they anticipated but it got back together before the day was over. Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day for racing. Cory was scheduled in the first heat race starting at the back of the field. He made his way past several cars in a little amount of time to pull of a 5th place finish in his first ever real racing action. Kyle and Don Wood were scheduled in the second heat race starting 2nd and 4th, respectively. Kyle got off to a fast start on the restart taking the lead in the first turn and holding onto it to take down the victory. Don worked his way to a 3rd place finish. When the feature event came around Don Wood redrew a 3rd starting position with Kyle starting 7th and Cory starting 9th.The feature started slow with Tony Membrino Jr. and Don Wood checking out from the rest of the field. On the second lap Cory got into the back of Kyle sending him spinning in turn 2. Luckily there was a caution before that so he was able to get his spot back. On the next restart Tony and Don once again checked out from the field. Kyle picked his way past 4 cars to move into 4th position where he would finish. Cory got caught on the outside and went for a spin late in the racing, landing him a 16th place finish. Don wood had a solid run but didn't have enough to catch Tony, who led from green to checkered to take to down the win. Wood finished second followed by Jeff Jolly rounding out the top 3.
4.02.10- The Casagrande cars were on track yesterday for the first time in 2010. All three cars, #1, #7, and #64 were all fast and set a good pace for the track conditions. It was a very Successful day and only had one problem with all three cars, as Paul Arute hopped in the 64 and backed it into the turn 2 wall, damages were only cosmetic and will be ready for the 2010 Spring Sizzler. The 1 and 7 cars were very fast and are about ready for the race season, they both will need very little Changes before the April 17th open practice at Stafford and ready for the Season to begin at Stafford on April 24th and 25th.
11.20- 2009 brought another successful Stafford Motor Speedway Banquet. It was a good look at the year in review and also included Kyle winning his second straight most popular driver award. Other winners included Carla Botticello, Heather Desrochers, Dillon Moltz, and Woody Pitkat.
11.16- Casagrande Motorsports is proud to announce that it will be expanding from a two to a three car team for the 2010 race season with the addition of 2009 champion Don Wood with Michael Decarli taking over as his crew chief. The three drivers look to make a huge impact in the 2010 season with two serious championship contenders in Wood and Kyle and possibly the rookie with the most potential in Cory.
September 2009- After a tough end of the season for Kyle Casagrande, he ended up with a disappointing 6th place finish in the points standings. Kyle will be racing alongside his brother, Cory, next season for the first time in a Dare Stock as Cory takes command of the # 1 car during the 2010 season. Kyle will be looking to contend for the championship once again in 2010 as Cory hopes to learn the ropes quickly and possibly pick up his first career win at the age of 16.
